Ron T   Ron T (Tavernit) is an award-winning broadcaster with one of the most recognizable voices in the Detroit area.  Ron was most recently the Creative and Production Director at WOMC Oldies 104.3.  In that capacity, Ron wrote, produced and voiced many of the commercials and promotional announcements that ran on the station.  You will also hear Ron on numerous radio and television commercials in the Detroit area.  He’s the voice for many auto dealers, furniture companies, restaurants and retailers.  Ron has also been heard on a number of national radio and TV spots such as: K-Mart, Ford, Faygo, Jet's Pizza and Comcast.



   Along with his role as Creative Director, Ron was also the Public Affairs and Public Service Director of the station, a position he has held for nearly 15 years.  In that capacity Ron hosted a Sunday morning Public Affairs program called Metro Magazine, in which he interviewed hundreds of people; from political candidates and officeholders to corporate executives, to the selfless volunteers that remain the backbone of so many organizations doing their great work.  Ron has won several awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for his work in Public Affairs.



   Ron continues to support a variety of charitable organizations by serving as Emcee to a number of their events.  Ron regularly serves as Master of Ceremonies for the Macomb Oakland Regional Center, Boys and Girls Club, Sterling Heights Lioness Club, the Troy Community Foundation and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Wayne County and others.  Ron has also raised many thousands of dollars while participating in three, 26.2 mile marathon walks to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
